thats one sweet oc there. stock there 1530Mhz thats close to double the speed on it. Congrats on that one

what kind of temps are you getting?

2.2v....... The speed is mind blowing tho

wow! I assume you must be getting subzero temps right? Also 2.1Vcore I would not recomend if you are going to run this 24/7. That high a vcore could bassically kill the chip after a while.
BTW, what is that in the second pic? FSB is waaay low but it is at 2.2Ghz on 1.63vcore?

There is nothing worng with running that kind of voltage on a 24/7 basis provided that there is good enough cooling. It appears from his sig that it on a cascade.
Awesome overclock, and I agree, it's a good thing to use 2.1v for a max overclock at least. Dunno why everyone always wimps out at 1.95v :p.
But could we have some more details? What exactly did the L12 mod accomplish for you in terms of a speed increase?

i wimped out at 1.8V lol
nice overclock tho

awesome overclock
what side effect are you talking about?

I think the side effect is that he can now run at 2200mhz using under 1.65v ;)

i can run at 2.2ghz at 1.65V and i think most 1700+'s and 1800+'s can too

Hey i'm back. Today I've been busily playing with some memory sticks as well as a new mobo, the Abit NF7 V2.0.
2.8GHz is just the "max screenshot speed", it couldn't even finish any simply benchmarks. But then this is just my little 1800+'s milestone. :D
Without L12 mod the FSB hits a wall at around 220MHz, absolutely no chance to reach 2.8GHz at 224x12.5.
As for the side effect thing, sorry guys, it's a mistake. Forget it.

Finally truly break the 2.8GHz mark:

For 24x7 I run my 1800+ @ 2.6GHz 1.9V instead.
By the way, this is the max FSB reached by my Abit NF7 V2.0, with D10 bios, 1x512MB Kingston Hynix memory, not fully stable yet:

This is the max FSB reached by my Epox 8RDA+ V1.1, with lastest bios, 1x512MB Kingston Hynix memory, not fully stable yet:

Let me know if there's any better BIOS for my 8RDA+

Was the L12 mod you did to make the chip a 166 or 200fsb chip?

And what stepping is it? I can run my NIUHB at 2.64ghz, not stable but I'm only at 1.95v until I remount my CPU block, or go to waterchilling.

Very nice oc
Link to the L12 mod? :D

I read ur sig JoT....
I could teach you to fly a plane, but from my experiance with Flight Sims, it would be a one way trip, resulting in a crater. --9mmCensor
Very funny.:D Give me a year or two and I can officially teach u pplz how to fly. Soon (5-6yrs) you will hear my voice over the intercom......
God forbid an OCer (namely I) take the helm of a multi-million dollar aircraft full of people.

Was the L12 mod you did to make the chip a 166 or 200fsb chip? it really does not matter as long as its seen as 166 or 200

Good work!
My JIXIB 0332 took 1.95 volts to be stable at (211 X 12.5) 2638 MHz; your 1.9 volts for this speed is awesome! I'm wondering if you did any sort of a Vcore burn-in on your chip, and if it helped you at all?
I'm also wondering if you have noticed any weird happenings in 3DMark after the L12 mod. After I L12 modded my Thoroughbred JIXIB I found that I still couldn't handle a higher FSB 100% stably- 3DMark would freeze or crash while Prime95 was stable, at any FSB above my old (before L12 mod) FSB limit (this with an NF7-S). Also, did the L12 mod help your stable FSB on the Epox board, or only the NF7-S?
What's your chip stepping, and what kind of temperatures are you looking at where you're sitting?
This is why I've opted to OC my 2000+ and not my P4 3.0 even thought the 3.0 can run at 3.75. The 2000+ runs at 2.2 100% stable and i've been trying for 2.3-2.4. If I somehow fried the P4 it would cost me $300can to replace it whereas those 2000+ sell for $85. Big difference.

What do u ppl use as a cpu volt burn in just a normal CPU burn in or something else?

I run Prime95 small ftts with low clock speed (high FSB, low multi) and the max Vcore I am comfortable with.
VERY NICE OC by the way :D
So the only unpleasant side effect of this mod is lower FSB?
EDIT: pics are gone :(
wow this thread was on it's way to the graveyard. what made it come back??
