I used to use 25% coolant in my old setup, then when i upgraded the pump and added a gpu waterblock, i switch to a new brand of antifreeze (prestone's quickfill) and just used the 50/50 out of the bottle. Everyone snapped at the fact that i didn't add distilled water to dilute it. Well, i did yesterday. emptied out ~14oz, and filled it up with distilled water and WOOPA! its down 2c. I was like whoa.. i knew water is a better thermal conduc./capac. but from the numbers, they didn't seem as significiant as this. 2c is like a waterblock upgrade.
its still down 2c relative to today's ambient temp which is lower.
okey okey, i was WRONG... but that the point.
whats the moral of this post? don't come to any conclution until extensive experiements and reasearch. I was dumb to just look at numbers and disinclude things like viscosity, weight, ect.
