go to the windows update site and click on previously installed components(or something like that) and look for what you are looking for....it worked for me when i got p.o'ed at I.E. 6.0......so i downgraded to I.E. 5.5
You didn't give much info on the exact problem, but if you are getting the error after you reach the desktop, then:
1. Boot with a boot floppy, and run scandisk. Or run scandisk in windows if possible. Then reboot and see what happens.
I'm assuming the explorer error you are mentioning is the file management utility and not IE, (internet explorer).
2. You might try running scanreg.exe, which gives you a list of earlier registry's to reinstall. It'll also tell you if it thinks there's an error. Maybe.

this could also be a driver error. Make sure your drivers are up to date. Try a "dirty install" which is just reinstall windows over your current directory. More info would be nice.
Your prloblem seem to be with the registry, wen boot up press F8, and chose "command prompt only", after boot up, and in c:, type "scanreg /fix", the computer will analyse your registry, and fix the problem, when done go out e restart the machine, the problem sould be resolved.
The next time you do a overclock, try not to do an overclock to the ram, because that was your problem, and the computer get crazy, so do it.
