Husband bought a p2 350...slapped it into my asus p3v4x...wouldn't run stable at around 120 fsb...but would run stable @133 & up...
he had it up to 144fsb...504mhz...just thought it was strange.
Anybody else have anything like this happen before?

It may be that the agp\pci divider is set a one third at 120 and at 133 and up its at one quarter. its hard to tell but this may be your i guess i cant call it a problem but maybe my best answer to your question.

OH CONGRADULATIONS ON YOUR NEW STATUS
GOOD JOB!

Maybe the video card does not like a high agp bus
and going over 120 changed the agp divider from 2/3 to 1/2.
You could check this with SiSoft Sandra and see if that is whats happening.

That makes sense Placid..my video card is pretty sad (i740:( )
Thanks for the support, outhouse and, no, it's not really a problem as it's not going to be a part of my system...I just thought it was curious and wanted to know why it might be like that.

It sounds to me like you got one of those "Intel remarked" 450's....back in the day, Intel had a very good yeild, and many people were buying the lower end chips like the 350, and Intel needed a ton of 'em just to keep up with demand, and remarked a bunch of 450's and clocked them down to 350.
Off the top of my head, I can't remember the S-spec..SL3WM?......I know the SL2WM is the magical 300A celeron....(I still have mine).
I agree that it's probably the AGP devider
