Celeron II 667MHz cC0 stepping.750MHz with 75fbus is as far as this goes. Do you think it's my mboard ? (Tyan Trinity 400). It supports Socket 370 and Slot 1 (Not a dual mobo). So the celeron is now installed in the socket. I'm waiting for a Slotket to come this week. I've tried 83MHz bus, it but freezes during the listing of hdd and cdrom drives at boot. (weird ain't it ?).
Any suggestions ?

Hi,
what are your temps @750Mhz?
and are you at nominal VCore voltage? (1.7v if I remember)
If Cpu temp is around 40C @full load adding 0.5volt you probably can reach higher OC.

The reason is simple, your hard drive can't take the high PCI bus speed. @ 83FSB your pci speed would be 41.5 (83 divided in half). Try turning off DMA, or try the next option. Try upping the Vcore just a little bit when going to 100fsb, maybe 1.8+

it seems the problem is not enough core voltage, try to increase it a little bit but with a good HSF. my previous 667 (SL4NZ) could go rock stable at 85FSB@1.7v, but what ever I tried, it can't go up to 100FSB...sigh

Well, my mobo is kind of not good. Got it for $20(better than the old lx that I had before). So temperatures and voltage changes cannot be made, I just have to wait for a slotket. The voltage now should be normaly at 1.7v. Anyone know of a program that shows the cpu temp ? But I guess when the mobo doesn't record it there's no way a program can right ?

yes, you're right, if the modo can't monitor the temp, no program can, caz they got it all from bios.
