I have been having problems with my mouse pointer disappearing when I use the GuidePlus+ program. The pointer will disappear ofver the programming grid but will come back when i hover it over the tv display. I can still click on the grid, but i can't see what I am pointing at. I was wondering if anyone had any problems with this as well and if any particular driver fixes it. I tried the suggestions for a workaround on ATI's website but none of them worked.

sometimes your mouse pointer will dissapear when you firewall is blocking access- try minimizing guide plus and also check you guide plus settings- I believe there is a curso setting in there somewhere

I tried those suggestions but wasnt able to get it to function properly. I have tried reinstalling it and my mouse drivers but no avail.
This makes me believe I am not the only one:

I tried emailing them but the response I got was less than helpfull.

ive the same problem. ive searched ati's site and its a known bug with no fix. looks like we just gotta wait and see wen ati figures out the problem.
From This (http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?threadid=33705231) thread on the Rage3d Forums:

Affects: Everyone?
Workaround for problem: Use older MMC
Status: Unknown, Reported?
Try using an older MMC, like it suggests.

This is a follow-up. I tried to install MMC 8.5.0.0 that came on the cd but I couldn't get it to load correctly. So I d/l 8.7.0.0 from ATI's website and installed that. I also reinstalled GuidePlus from the CD to make sure. It appears to be working fine now and I am not having any problems with the mouse disappearing. I am still running Catalyst 4.2 btw.
I just wanted to bump this thread, as I know many people are having this problem (including myself). I found two possible fixes in this thread. I have not tried them yet. http://www.tweaknews.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=5439
I am also hoping this issue is resolved in MMC 9.0 which was just released.
I think they finally fixed it. I upgraded to MMC 9.1 and the newest CAT's. My mouse no longer disappears. It seems like you can not scroll with the mouse wheel, which was what originally caused the problem.
