View Full Version : Abit BH6 V1.0 and 700 PIII...133mhz possible?
Got the right memory (Crucial CL2 133mhz 128MB), got a processor (PIII 700), but can't get it to work with 133mhz FSB. I think it might be because the bios' only setting for 133 is a 1/3 PCI setting not 1/4. Can I get a confirmation on this? Is there anyway to work around this problem without o'cing the pci slots? I have an ATA 100 controller card which makes having the PCI slots running at the right speed a must. Any ideas??

Hate to say, but chances are ya won't get it to work. The old BX boards didn't handle the 133 fsb for squat.
Oh, and by the way. Welcome to the best forum around :)
I have the same problem with my bx6 rev 1 . I have only a 1/3 pci divider.
The only option besides repalcing the clock generator(hehe) is to find a a hard drive that can handle the 44 mhz. IBM's have a good chance, but I have heard reports of corupted data and FAT's.
Good luck!
