I gettin' pretty pumped. My processor is due to be delivered today. I have done all the prep work. Have my case painted and cleaned. All of my parts are ready to go. My office is sterile um clean. I have forged this what I think to be a killer heat sink twin 7500 rpm fan rig. Just ready to see this thing breath it's first breath of life. Then to find what she is capable of. I'm spinning with anticipation..........
Sorry, I'm just a little excited and had to tell the people who understand this the most. Forgive me for loosing it for a moment....
I will update as I get her running....
Thanks for being here guys.
I always feel that way when I get new hardware, even if it's only a stick of ram!!
Good luck and keep us posted.

Yippee....
After the endless 3 days of waiting it is here. My shiny new PIII 700.
3 hours later and not too many scratches and she is up and running. Ahh the sweet purrr of dual fans cooling. I have her set to 784 for the time being. 35C with Q3 looping. And by the way I want to thank all of you that encouraged me to get this processor. Holy cow. I will post a follow up after the burn in.
times like this you know how good life is.....hehehe
What did you buy a pre-tested, oem, retail?
Is it a slot type or fc-pga?
What stepping did you get?
I am feeling the same way you do just got a new Athalon cpu in the mail today to :) The bummer is I have been to busy working to get things ready (revamping a watercooling system) so I guess it'll have to wait till the weekend.
