I76 is the best game ever made. You guys have to try it. You can get it on ebay but make sure you get it AND the nitro pack so you can update it to 3D accelerated mode. I76 is cars with guns in 1976. Ever play vigilante 8? That is the arcade version of I76. Vigilante 8 sucks, I76 rocks ass. Just try it.

Yeah, I have Interstate 1976 with the Nitro Pack and back a few years ago when it first came out, I played the heck out of it too. I might have to dust it off and give it another whirl. The sequel was Interstate 1982 which wasn't nearly as good.

Interstate '82 is good for the multiplayer and customization. I'm trying to recruit new players for it. Maybe I should hold training sessions. There is a small I82 community that I've been a part of for a while, check it out: Interstate82.de

I76 was awesome. Definitely one of the best games ever made. Great plot, great dialog, great gameplay, and tons of style. No other action game can come close to what I76 was.

It would make a sweet movie, too.

i played this game a few years ago :) it was great ceptfor some reaso nthe graphics looked liek they were software rendered :(

yeah I agree this is one of the best games ever. The game is good in any aspect. I especially loved the online play. The hacking was fun too, I loved those competitions of who had the fastest cars. I remember my car being so fast that when I blew against the joystick, the next frame you would see it flying high in the sky at 10000 mph or something (tire traction combined with engine power was the key :p). Does someone know if the Freakdogs are still having thursdag night events? Gonna check right now @ http://www.interstate76.com/!

YEAH they still are having the events! Now they also got the training and the sunday night! Gonna get this game up and running again, gonna build my car, gonna download the map, and gonna be owned completely by the Freak Dogs. See u on the server.

I loved that game, and used to play its CD just as a soundtrack in its own right, hah. Some of those crazy off-road hell maps were also fun to simply try to survive driving across, especially with a friend. Playing cops and robbers, racing, demolition derbies, crazy jumps, crashes.. ahh the multiplayer was great. My CD seems to be f'd up so that it crashes during the install - or maybe it's just XP, and I've been too lazy to try to find a way around it.

wow talk about flashback, man I played that game none stop for like a summer. Yea it was definetly fun. Story line was pretty cool also.

I can't play I76 with windoze XP or Mandrake 9.2, but I can play I82. If you guys don't have it, get it. We all need to have a game or two.
