I posted this in the 3dMark team section and tried to delete it but I'm not authozed to do so- so here's my duplicate post-
I installed the latest 4.2 cats & the 3DMk2001 direct x 8/9 patch-
my score was 17,300 - ok for me.
Problem is, when I run the demo (at 640 x 480 or normal 1280 x 1024 res) i get all kind of flashing artifacts, like parts of my desktop or taskbar.
I checked dxdiag and everything seems ok till I run the Dix 8 & 9 spinning cube tests, then the artifacts appear.
It does this with the core & memory of the card set to stock and with my cpu turned down to Athlon 2500 speeds.
Any suggestions?
