View Full Version : Please Help--2500 Issues
Hi everyone!
Just a quick question. I have a 2500 barton@3200+ --stepping AQZFA 0347
I just prime 95'd it. torture for 4-5 hours no errors. When I try to play the Specialists, it will load and when I'm in the middle of a fight it will freeze. It also freezes when I play games that involve a lot of clicking. Any help would be very much appreciated.
PSU=450W 3.3, 5.0, and 12.0 rails are all good under load
Set vid card back to 380/680
VCore=1.775
Highest temp in prime 95=44
Might need more vcore plus IMO a 4 hour test of prime isnt good enough. Also what do you have you VDDIM @ for your ram?

My week 49 2500 needs at least 1.98v's to be 100% stable at 2.2Ghz...200FSB...NF7-S rev 2.0
Thanks!
vdimm is @ 2.6v
The most i can get out of my board is 1.85 on vcore, 2.75 vdimm, and 1.7 on chipset.
i'll try bumping the vcore up, but if i need more juice, is there any easy why to hard mod it?
once again thanks for all the help!
Hardmod it to a higher vcore?
I would run 2.75 of vddim that really isn't much for ram. Xtremiest use 3+ 24\7 and there really isnt much wrong with high voltage as long as the componets arent getting to hot.
Did you try a higher vcore then 1.775?

You might try seeing if the same happens at default video card clockspeeds. I'm having similar problems due to GPU heat (I think).
I tried 1.80, seemed a little more stable, but it still froze, when i play games that involved clicking a lot. however, i am limited to these voltages
1.85 Vcore
2.75 Vdimm
1.7 Chipset
volt mod for vcore would be nice i don't think my ram is holding me back, but i should probably run mem86. BTW my ram has copper h/s and was advertised to run 6-3-2-2 @ 2.5v
Thanks for the help.
kind of a random post but, johan851, i'm like you a spokanite. yeah for spokane...i mean.....
