if i buy PC3200 that rated as CL 2.5, would i be able to get it running CL 2 if i underclock it and runs at 185mhz?

normally u can get better timings as u slow the memory down, but some stuff just wont run tight timings no matter how slo u run it.

If a module is specified at CL2.5-3-3-7, it may only do those timings even if it is clocked down. Different ICs have certain limitations, you will find that some PC-4000 modules will still only do CL2.5-3-3-7 timings even if clocked down to PC-3200/PC-2700 speed, it just comes down to what the ICs and the PCB they are on can handle.
