Ok, my original plans were to put the heatercore at the top of the case...then I began to think about it.

Doesn't all the hot air in the case rise to the top and get blown out the case? Therefore if i do a setup with the heatercore mounted to the top and do a blow configuration on it where a fan pushes air through it and out the case, i'll be pushing hot air through it?

What if I mount it at the top and do a suck configuration where i'm pushing air from outside the case through it?

Or is the difference neglibable putting the heatercore at the top of the case as opposed to the bottom near the case intakes?

The idea is to have the coolest air possible going through the radiator, makes sense as this is what cools the water. Having the rad up top is not ideal, but not the end of the world either. If I were to have a top mounted rad, I would definately outside air coming INTO the rad, and not use warm case air to exhaust through the rad.

I wouldnt put HCs on top of the case unless I really have to... It makes bleeding quite difficult when you use a T-line to bleed and HC is at the top. When I bleed I like the T to be on top so I can rock the case back and forth and remove as much air as possible before running the pump to bleed.

Also, yea always cold air on the HC.. It makes a difference.

If you got a good air flow through your case you won't see much a difference if any from bringing outside air or case air through the rad. I have mine at top and don't see any change in temps except for the hotter case temps when bringing in the outside air through the rad. But, my case has a good airflow and exhausting the air out through the rad helps even more. Every case setup is different though. Only thing I don't like about it is bleeding the air out of the rad. I have to unmount it, sit it up right while bleeding. A real pain but it made my tubing run easy to deal with.
