WOW, I actually got a rebate back!

Purchased my Maxtor Hard drive last December at Fry’s with a $50.00 rebate. Never had good luck with rebates but I sent it in for the principle of the thing. Well low and behold, 60 days later the check shows up at the door.

You got a rebate from a Fry's purchase? It is more likely to get hit by lightning.

I built my first rig from parts I got at Fry's, most on rebates. That was early in 2002. To this day I have recieved none of the 200 dollars I should have. A fry's employee told me that he has the same luck, so it is a company deal.

At this time, I NEVER buy anything on rebate.

It must be because Maxtor handled the rebate. I was even able to track it through Maxtor's website. Pretty cool. I bought a shredder the same day at Fry's with a 10.00 rebate. Still haven't gotten that one back and I am not holding my breath.

I have never gotten any rebates back except for one from......Micro$oft? Yeah that's right MS. But the $80 rebate for my WD never came, so I never buy things with rebates again.
