I recently swapped out the Celly 600 from my girlfriend's eMachine and put my Celly 533 in it before she gave it to her sister. Now mine could do 800 no problem but since I built a new P3 PC that old 533 went to a Tyan mobo that couldn't get it to 800 (no voltage settings).

Well, my P3 700 couldn't do 933 which upset me but I've been running it since X-mas at about 800+ with the intention of building a new AMD 1.4G rig next month, so I was fooling around and decided to drop that old Celly in here to see what it could do.

Stuck it in, Arctic Silver on my ThermoEngine with Delta fan and started it up...no post :[

Soooooooooooo, I reset the CMOS and then maxed out the voltage (+10% on my Soyo 7VCA) and BOOM...it boots! Celly 600@900! Soooooooooo, now I have a big head and decide to go further. Reboot, go into the BIOS and set it at 115. Reboot...WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! My first time over a gig at 1035Mhz!

eMachines are not of the devil all the time...haha.

Well, it's not very stable there so I put it back in the other PC...with the other system coming next month I really don't feel like messing much more with it.

Even funnier is that when switching the processors back I decided to try my craptacular P3 700 @ 933 again and it posted! I got into Windows but was having some problems so I backed it back down and maxed the voltage on it, so I'm doing some more burning now...hopefully I can get that thing to where it's supposed to be. I can only get my core up to 1.86V so I don't know if it'll ever do it or not. Temps are real good when overclocked there, about 30C/34C so I'm assuming voltage is my problem.

O what I wouldn't do for 1 more volt :[

My HP has a cBO cel600 in it. I havent had the time to yank it and spend time playing with it. I did it once and it wouldnt post so I just replaced it with my cCO and promised myself to try it before I switch to AMD or p4.

Well, my P3 was running really good at 882...took everything I threw at it until I had to shut it down. It won't boot back up at that setting...not even a post. So I went and ordered a 1Ghz P3 today and bought an Antec SOHO fileserver case which is real nice...plenty of room and a bunch of fans.

Guess I'll put off building that AMD system for some other time. Probably best since hopefully it'll give DDR time to mature.
