Hi
I'm building a system for the first time and have a bag full of parts coming from new egg but I have not yet bought the processor or the memory. I've been holding out because I've been thinking about the 3.2 EE.

I just found this forum and have been reading it as much as my family will let me so forgive me if I ask the same questions every other newby asks?

I was going to buy a 3.2c and Corsair XMS TWINX1024-3200LLPRO 1GB (2x512-MB) PC3200 because it looks pretty and the article I read at Sharky's told me too. But after reading 3.4C - Anyone oc'd one?? I'm thinking of going 3.4 and plan on the slight possibility that I might overclock sometime. So I thought I might get some faster memory like TWINX1024RE-3500LLPT XMS3500 1024MB 2-3-2-6 2x184 DIMM Platinum or some mushkin. What do you think?

Thanks
Marc

Oh and a little about my new rig:
Building my first: ASUS P4C800-E Delux, ASUS RADEON 9800XT, Antec 550w psu, 2-740 Raptors Raid0, NEC/Mitsubishi DP2070SB-BK 22, lots o Fans

You do NOT want to purchase registerred memory, so you wouldn't want to buy TWINX1024RE-3500LLPT.

The PC-3200 on the market with Winbond BH-6 chips should be a nice complement to an Intel 3.4C. With the higher multiplier (17X) you'ld be running at a lower FSB while keeping a high overall clock speed and 1:1 FSB:MEM ratio. The same deal is with the 3.2EE and it's 16X Multiplier.

I like the Cas Latency on those sticks. Lots of 2's. So I guess you think it would be better for me to stay away from the faster (if that’s the right word) memory like the PC 3500. It just seems that I see a lot of other using higher RAM.

And my pretty Corsair with the blinky LED's is too slow or something even with a Latency of 2-3-2-6. My cat's will be disappointed. ;)

Thanks
Marc
