I'm thinking of getting and iwill dvd266-r, and i want to know what the best value processors I can get for it are.

Right now I'm looking at the 800s, but I'm not sure whether to E or to EB.

I know that I'll pobably be able to get an 800E up to 933 on the 133MHz bus. But the question is, will I get better performance from an 800EB even if I can only go up to 150MHz FSB?

the PIII DDR boards are not supposed to be that great. The performance increase was not much. Anyways, a PIII 800E will oc to 1064 on a 133 bus, not 933 which is what the 700 does. if you are going to overclocking, get a 100mhz bus based cpu. If not, the EB will be faster.

I agree don't bother with ddr on the p3, on amd's the fsb is ddr so it can take advantage of it but the p3 gtl+ bus strangles ddr performance. Go for p3 700's to overclock, they almost always reach 933 on a 133mhz fsb and quite often get around 1ghz.
