Does anyone know at what speed these stepping chips usually max out at?
About 850mhz. The highest one listed in the cpu database for a 750 is 862.
the best cA2 chips were the 550 and 600. The 550 would usually reach 733mhz no problem and the 600would reach 800mhz without much difficulty. Do you already own one or are you considering buying one.

I have a P3 600E that has no problem with 133 Mhz FSB/800 Mhz Clock, at stock Core Voltage. It's a cA2 stepping. Why do I run it at 124 Mhz FSB? Because it's too freakin' HOT at 133!
I've had two P3E's. Both cA2. Both hot as hell. If possible, avoid these dinosaurs!
How hot does it get at 800mhz and what cooling is that with (case and cpu hs/f)

I would not get it, but I am getting a good deal for it. P3 733 Slot 1 w/ Coolermaster HSF for ~$50. Hoping for 825 because 150mhz FSB is what my board runs out at.
