I just took a look in sandra, and it says my memory can do cas-2 @100mhz,
cas-3 @133. WTF!!! This is brand stuff. Im losing memory performance because of that! Right now, at Cas-3 im getting 175/190 in Sandra. Thats crap. And Im on a 133mhz bus. What settings should I set to get the most stable/performance from my ram?

2x256mb sticks. 1 is PC-Azen Ram. The other is PC-133 Micron.
I though Micron was good stuff.

Hey Crucial can run at Cas-2 at 133Mhz right? Maybe I should sell these sticks.

Crucial IS a division of Micron. They do sell cas 2 and cas 3 memory I believe, so you may not have cas 2.

Since you have two sticks, put in one at a time and see if they both rate the same. You could have one good at cas 2 and one not.

Actually the had crossed my mind too. I was thinking the Micro might do Cas-2 @133, so Im gonna take out the Azen ram stick and try it. Thanks.

I am in the same situation, just that my PC133 CAS3 can do 143MHZ CAS2.

if it's tested by the mfg to run well at 133 CAS 2, they'll gladly advertise that. If they rated it at CAS 3, that's probably what it is.

I think thats just a glitch in Sisoft. I have one 256mb stick of Micron PC133 CAS2 ram. And I get the same message. It says cas2 up to 100mhz fsb, and cas3 up to 13mhz fsb. But it will run up to 133mhz fsb and higher at cas2!

Same with some Corsair pc133 cas3 I had. The same message, But I ran it at 140mhz fsb @ cas2 perfectly stable!

I bet if you took out one of those sticks of ram and only used one, it would run fine at cas2!

By the way this should really be posted in the memory forum.
