P4 3.0C
Abit IC7
1 Gig Corsair XMS PC3200 2-3-2-6 timings.

I want to hit about 3.5 or so.

i was thinking like 233 FSB - but what do I set everything else too? Currently my ram is running 1:1 - I want to keep it that way correct?

Thanks.

A 233FSB with a 1:1 ratio is 3.495GHz..

Set your vDIMM as high as it'll go - prolly 2.8v. You might have to relax the timings to 2-3-3-7.

I'd also set your CPU voltage to at least 1.6v and maybe 1.65v.

Probably be a good idea to go in small steps. You should be able to get there.

try in the motherboard section under intel abit boards if i was you,

however, some basics.......
lock your pci/agp to 33/66

raise your vdimm to 2.8 ( the max i think for your board )

raise your fsb slowly running memtest for faults in the ram as that will probably fault before your cpu

monitor your temps and make sure you have good cooling, over 50c gets dangerous

you have some performance setting in the bios leave the last 2 settings disabled as this may cause instability

if your ram starts to get errors you will need to set a 5:4 divider by setting your memory down a notch to 333 mhz

dont raise your vcore cpu voltage until you get stability issues as it causes heat volts = heat

btw i had a 3.0c and it hit a ceiling around 3.5 so anything you reach over that is a bonus

read the intel abit section and ask more questions there:D :D good luck!!;)
