View Full Version : Anyone know how to increase voltage on a Slot 1 P3 450?

I have mine P3 450 @ 600mhz 2.3v (2.0v is defualt) and would like to bump the voltage up to 2.4/2.45v to maybe get to 650. That would be sweet. I know i have heard of it somewhere....but i can't remember.

How far does the motherboard BIOS let you bump it up??

10 % over default rings a bell with me for that board...correct??

2.3v is the highest it will let me go, but can't i wire some vid pins, or something to let me go higher. Can't you block out some pins on the connector?

Whereas I trashed my WinME disk the other night, I was just re-installing that one this morning.

I downloaded the newest version this morning, and it just happens it's still sitting in my "desktop".....

The file size is 1.04MB. I sent it attached to an e-mail....so check your e-mail, you should have it by the time you read this....

Seems I recall a short peice on vid pin taping at Tomshardware. Just do a search in the archives :)

Check and see if I did it right...it's in the "Incomming" folder..."intel ID".

Just got that one this morning...fresh from intel.

I e-mailed that to you directly, Carmine, but got it back some time later, with a message stating you "mailbox was full". I've got a HotMail account too, and have gotten stuff from them sayin' "Delete your stuff, or we will for you...."

Time to go thru you "inbox", and save some stuff to floppy or cdrw.....

If you got it thru the FTP Shadow has, that works too... I did try to send it to ya directly, though.

Good luck with the Celeron 800....don't kill it with high vcore, please!! I know you like throwing high vcores at chips......
