I have it running 24/7, it takes my incoming logs ( from wallwatcher..I have a Linksys befsr41 router ) and uploads all the attempts to gain access on my IP, and in turn, they notify the offending individuals ISP about the port probes.

One occasion I was getting blasted pretty bad by someone in my IP block, every day, for about a week...i'd have 20 to 30 attempts from the same IP....myne****chman notified the ISP and that individuals probe attempts abruptly stopped, upon checking the staus of the incident, it reported the user was terminated...heh heh, so it is useful, and does its best at what it was designed to do.

It also is a good tool in that it notifies the ISP of the port probes, and if the ISP is a responsible one, they notify the customer, some don't even know their systems are probing others IP's because they are infected with "x" trojan or virus, it helps them to go about cleaning their system. Like I said though, it depends on the ISP where the port probes originate...some ISP's just ignore it and don't give a s___.

Hmmm...now why would the swear filter ...filter out "my-net-watchman"??? ( take out the dashes.... )

EDIT:..ahhh..i see why...heh heh heh...take the last letter of "net"...and the first 3 of "watch"....LOL

Rigth after I posted, I saw the **** get put in, I then figured it out, and went back to edit the subject, but the post had the original stil there.

it can be found at

mynet-watchman.com (take out the - )

It looks like the agent will work with my router as well, I might install it.
