I'm fairly new to this and I need some advice. I have a Hewlett Packard 8495 Pentium III 550 Mhz with a voodoo 3000 installed. I was wondering if someone could give me some advice in choosing a pentium 4 processor motherboard as well as a cooling system. I'm looking for the ultimate speed and would like to know some prices. If anyone has any suggestions, I would really appreciate some help in determining what products are right for me. Thanks.

Hold off on buying a p4 there not all that and a bag of chips the AMD 1.333 overclocked benchmarks about as good as the best p4 for the money you wont get the performance that you should if you really want a new p4 wait and they should have some better ones out soon but for now try to be patient.

From what I've read (specifically at extremetech.com) the faster AMDs are quite OC friendly. If I hadn't just laid down the bucks for this Intel setup, that's what I'd have.

If you really do want a p4 though hold off for the northwood revision as curent boards won't work with it so you'll be outdated quicker than an nvidia card if you buy now.
