Just got FFXI, but having install probs.

I am trying to install disc 4, the expansion.

The Wizard is slow for some reason, i dunno why, but when it finally gets to the install process i get this message.

I looked in the FFXI site and i think I have this problem:

Do you have another cd drive you can swap into your computer. Maybe that drive will have better luck reading it. If not return the game and get another copy. When I bought GTA:VC the cd I got was bad.

return the game, hmm i thought u couldn return pc games?

no way can it be my cd-rom, i tried it on my other comp and its getting the same prob. I think the disc def. has problems

Just tell them you got a bad CD and you just want a different copy. That's what I did at best buy and they didn't give me any trouble.

i called the FFXI support, and they sent me a FTP to dl the last CD
