Flixotide I want my spot back!!!

As the title says I'm doing what I can to get it back. I got the combo deal (2500barton & ECS K7VTA3) at fry's the other day though I need to return the mobo cuz it wont boot up properly. Damn thing locks up as soon as I get into the bios to adj. the settings:( So I went ahead and just ordered a refurb 8k5a2+ ( I tried to get 2 of em but they only had the 1) and 3 sticks of ram. So look out my production will be rising soon. I know I can't keep 45 or Fast420a (among others) off my back but I will try my best to get my spot back from you:D All I need to do is a little wire splicing to share the 2 psus I have and wait for newegg to ship me some new refurbed sweetness. I've got a 2800 barton just waiting to jump into that epox and start crunchin protiens. Wonder what it will do on that board? I'm hopin for at least 2.5. What do you think?

**Edit** Don't have to return the ECS. Its WORKING and folding a nice gromac 563 18 pointer. This will be a great test WU.

OK I got 1 new rig up and running and what a PITA it was. The ECS K7vta3 mobo is a picky bast***. I had it in and out of the garage 3 times before it booted properly out there. The other mobo I have is dead or it wont run the 1700 pali I put in it or my sdram is no good. I'll try a duron tomorrow and swap some ram around to see if I can get it going. If not I have a 8kha+ sitting that had bios problems I may be able to get online. But thats tinkereage for another day. At least I got a 2500 barton layer up and running.

That's what I am talking about!! I stole the ram from my watercooled former main rig to get the new main rig up and running, then I took the ram from the 1700 Pally layer (pc2100) to get the watercooled rig back up but not at equal ram:cpu speeds anymore, for now. :D The 1700 pally had a boot problem that I need to sort out, once I get good ram for the Main rig and can get all the other ram back in order I'll be happy but we did what it took to get the PPW up. We all need to find more power!!!

the last week i've been down rigs during my upgrade. its been looking really pathetic lately, but today is the first day where i have most of my power at about 90% of true capacity. haven't gotten time to tweak the new 2.6c rigs. i just bought a 2.8e prescott today so that will be added in a week or less.

Oh don't worry, I'll be right on your tail. This week I was just getting back in order too as most of my borgs were all having trouble getting work for a day or so and then grabbed tinkers. They all seem to be fine now and back on gromacs. Hopefully I'll even back out at the nice red color I had 2 weeks ago. :D

you can't hang with this though...

in the last 3 days i have added

1x 1700 @ 2000mhz
1x 2.4c @ 3300mhz
1x 2.6c @ 3285mhz

in another couple days i will be adding a prescott to the mix as well.

the 3300mhz p4 was borged just a few hours ago and hasn't made its presence known yet. we turned in 984 points yesterday and expect a 100-150 point turn in for the 12am update. stanford shows us at 106 points higher than rainbow. if we continue at 1000 ppd for a while we'll be around 6500-7000ppw. the 3300mhz p4 and my new prescott haven't even turned in a wu yet :D

Doh!!! I just realized the new 2800 was running at 133fsb. I put it together the other night late and I'm just now getting to looking at its OC potental. I bumped it up to 180 fsb and it booted fine so I'll test it here a bit before the next bump. I'll bet it makes a bit of diffrence on the frame times:D

Damn, you just keep gaining right now.. *sigh* and I REALLY need that zalman cooler for my HT.. Even with the window open (2-3 C's out there) its running awfully hot on stock cooler at max RPM.

And if you're really lucky, some chump will be a good colleague, and turn off my computers at work, while I'm away. I've simply taught them too well when it comes to saving power, and shutting down their computers :rolleyes:
