on my HT pc, i completed 2 wus (1 per processor) but then for some reason f@h couldnt get another wu. i had to rstart to get it to work. here is the message in the log:

[01:13:20] - Successful: assigned to (171.64.122.116).
[01:13:20] + News From Folding@Home: v.4 client available
[01:13:20] Loaded queue successfully.
[01:13:59] + Could not get Work unit data from Work Server
[01:13:59] - Error: Attempt #2 to get work failed, and no other work to do.
Waiting before retry.

i have the one click install for the HT processor
it did that 32 timeson one instance, and 13 times on the other instance. is it noraml to have that much down time?

I don't use HT but I would say no that is not normal. One of the Intel Folding gurus will be along shortly to help you I'm sure.

Only thing I can think of that would cause this is the server you are trying to connect too is down.

Sometimes you get stuck assigned to a certain server and then it goes down or there are connection issues and this happens. A lot of my borgs did this last week and ended up getting tinkers after 1-2 days of connection issues. You can stop the service, manually start the client without flags and grab a tinker or possibly a gromac or just keep trying to start it with the flags until it dowloads a new WU, then close the console and start the service again and your done.

my computer is still ahving the same problems. i tried to reinstall the f@h client, and still after i finish a wu, it just keeps trying and trying to get a new one. its usually like this for the whole day. im leaving for a week, and i dont want it to be down the whole time. when i restart, i seem to have no problem getting a new wu. does anyone have any ideas whats up?
