Why molex connector on 5900?

I run my card fine without it why is it there? Will I have problems not connecting it?

If it wasn't need they would not put it on.

Plug it in, its there for a reason.

The card requires more voltage than the AGP slot can deliver. As such, it has an external connector for power.
