Not that I've ever heard of (not that I'm Mr. Pro Overclocker or anything), but the last time I've ever heard of unlockable Intel processors were the REALLY early PIIs. Other than that, they've seen locked up tighter than a drum, and noone's been able to unlock them. Hope this helps a little!

Nope, multipliers are locked on Intel chips, unlockable on AMD. You have to change the front-side-bus (and PCI divider) in order to attain a higher CPU speed.
Check out the frontpage tutorials for some basics that will be helpful.

Absolutly Not, unfortunately :-(
You can reach higher freq upping the Fsb from 66 to 75, 83 or better 100Mhz (difficult with a Celeron 500) with a GooD Cpu cooler, and rising a little the VCore.
Note @75/83Mhz the Pci clock is not standard any more and you can have problem with old Hd (possible Fat corruption!) or Pci card, especially Nic.
The problem is that I can't change my Vcore.
I can boot (and work) at 75 Mhz FSB, without any problems, but i can't get higher than 83 Mhz (He won't boot at this speed)

ok ok, give us a full system rundown. I think you may be getting too hot.

and you cannot monitor temps, now I'm coming from MBM Web site.
Well probably it's better if you change Mobo, but wait other suggestion and after make your choice.
Wait a moment, another way is to wire the cable of your Cpu for more VCore, I did it on my C2 600 and works very well, but if I remember works only with Celeron2.

The celeron 500 is almost the max for that chip... intel stopped using that core at 533, and it won't go past 550 very often. If you can get 75FSB out of it, and everything works, that's about the highest you will go regardless of voltage or cooling.

If he can raise the voltage a slight bit, and gets better cooling, he can go over 75FSB. I've gotten up to 80FSB with those chips, using stock cooling and stock voltage. Just give it a shot......it may just work :)
