I just got my new Slot 1 P3-700 cC0 today and I have gotten up to 980@1.70V. It works perfectly, my temps are great. But that is only at 140FSB so I want to get it to 150FSB before I stop. I don't know what voltage to run it at though at 150FSB. I tried 175V and 180V.

Does anyone else here have the same type of processor as me? If so, at 150FSB what voltage to you run it at?

Also, the HSF I am using is the "Vantec P3D-5030." It works very well and keeps my temps at about 30C at idle. BUT I have a GlobalWIN VOS32 also, but I am having problems with it. When I used it I was getting temps from my ASUS probe that said 80C (yikes!) so I quickly shut it off and put on the little vantec one and it worked good.

I am guessing I am having a contact problem with my VOS32 and the CPU core. What should I do? Lap it and get a coppermine shim?

Thanks for the help....

I have a P3 750@1000 also a slot 1. I have a collection of heat sinks including the ones you have mentioned. I had the same problem with the VOS-32 but cured it by using the clip off of the Vantec cooler. With the Vantec clip the Global Win worked much better. I now have an Alpha P3125. In my opinion the Alpha is the King of Slot 1 coolers with out going to water. My chip is a cBo stepping I had to burn it in a a vcore of 1.90 but it is stable now at 1.85. Running at 1 gig with a vcore of 1.85 and SETI running 24/7 my cpu temps are around 34-36c

Holy Crap! I tried the Vantec clip like you said but it didnt help much, i dont know why. I tried the Intel Stock clip and put a tiny bit mor AS2 on my core and I got my cpu temp to drop 5c!

So now with my VOS32 at Idle I run at about 20-23c!

As a matter of fact...My has a lower temperature than the motherboard... so 20-23c idle at 980 mhz, im going to go try 1,050 mhz, be back...

Alright, thanks for all the help everyone, I finally got to 1,050Mhz @ 1.85V. Now my idle tems are around 23-24C. So that's it, I'll put up my specs in a while now that I have my final ones. Thanks!
