I have an Asus CUSL2-C and an OCZ Gladiator HSF (36cfm). I can't seem to get the heatsink on right. I got it on once but I don't think it was mounted right because the temps were 10C above my Alpha PAL6035. How do I install this? Do you think the capacitors near my socket make the space available too small for the clip?

Without using the clips to hold it down and without thermal compound place the HSF flat on the CPU if there is anything in the way from keeping the HSF flat on the CPU then you may have problems and may want to rethink about using it. If its touching anything then you have 2 options 1 do not use it and 2 use some kind of dremal tool or grinding stone [on drill] and grind out areas so that capacitors and such will not conntact the HSF, also there was a article a couple days ago that stated with your new HSF that your CPU temps may show higher because of the airflow but in fact your CPU may actualy be cooler but 10C is more then they were talking about so you may not have had it on properly.
If you cant gently push the capacitors off to the side so you can use the clip then yes you may not be able to use your new HSF but since youve had it on once with a little luck and some capacitor moving you may get just enough room to make it work.
I wish you luck
