I have been to using a msi6905 since I got my c600. I also have a asus 370-l as a backup. I bought it because I knew that if something happened to my msi and with slot 1 boards becoming more hard to come by I would be in a bind.

The thing is I cannot loop 3dmark2000 with prime95 with the asus which I can do just fine with the msi. Anyway I can always go back to 900. Then it occurred to me, do I need to work the asus some before I get the same results with the msi?

Burning in is arguably effective for the core only, and at times I've seen people claim improvements on memory. I don't see how it would help with the board, but then again, maybe it has an effect on the northbridge as well.

This post was absolutely uninformative I know, but at least it's back at the top. =)
