Do something like SemiCycle had in his old setup:

Run really big (5/8" to 1" ID) tubing from the res to the inlet of your pump for a small flowrate increase.

i am almost certain i saw it a Lowes

i'm actually working on a clear acrylic pipe i picked up from tap plastics. only problem i have is the holes...
if u decide to get one, try to get on thats rectangle, when i asked if they could make holes in the cylinder, they said they had no way of holding it while they drilled so they refused to do it. but i doing it at home instead, saved myself 55cent per hole (i'm a dumbutt) :D

Im working on an aluminium dual 5.25 bay res. It will have a filler cap that sticks out of the top of the case for easy filling and 2x 1/2" inlets and 2x3/4" outlets.

I made a res out of clear pipe acrylic also. I'm not currently using it tho. I've got the T-line going for space purposes. Here's what I did when tapping into the side of the tubing. First tap a 1/4" thick flat piece of acrylic. Then cut out a small square around it. Then cut a matching square out of the side of the tubing. Match up the tapped 1/4" square piece into the square cut-out in the tubing and use acrylic cement. I also used clear rtv on the edges just to be safe. If you tap into the side of the round tubing it will eventually crack. Also, its best to have at least a 1/4" thickness when using a 1/4" -3/8" - 1/2" NPT tap. Hope this helps.

ok i like that pic as i said b4 i am going with a res because i want to mount it on back,i think it would take up less space since its only a mid tower.ALSO for a res do i poke and air hole at the top,i know i unscrew the top part(using same idea with pvc) and i just let the air go to top,or do i make a hole?

I think Maxvla made a res out of clear PVC with a CC in the middle. Looked really sharp.

i though acrylic was a bad plastic to use cause it was really fragile and is likely to break?

depends on how thick it is really..
the kind i brought has 1/4", kinda hard to break
BUT u can always get polycarbonate cylinders, gotta cough up more cash though :-/

Here is my res... oversized barbs for flow...http://upload.giacchetti.com/H2O2.JPG[/IMG]

This has a take-out valve on the other side (not seen) useful for draining sys.
