im not sure where to put this exactly but here it is

so i have a 64mb usb key and can i put a password on it so the person who wants to use it has to put the password in before they can see or access the files

Not that I'm aware of. About the only thing that I can think of would be to encrypt the files with PGP or something.

Well, I would use PGP and its self-extractor. It can encrypt your files with 1024 bit protection and it compresses them too, so for larger files they are actually a bit smaller, but for small files it makes them larger because of the self-extractor program.

Of course, this doesn't stop people from deleting your files... ;)

Normaly drives that have some password protection thing on them need adtional software installed on the computer. for my flash drive I can devide the drive into diffrent "partions" open, open and password protected, or all password protected. You will only be able access the password protected files were the extra software that came with your drive is installed.

WinRAR not only allows you to compress the file, but password protect and encrypt the filesize, contents, and filenames (that are compressed) using the AES-128 bit encryption standard.
