I really wanted to see how far my P3 450 could go, with the L2 cache disabled. It was stable in windows up to 640. No games. I wanted to run a few memory benchmarks, so i restarted @ 608 with L2 cache disabled, and my ALU scores were much much higher about 100 points higher! Usually they were at 357, now at 460. I don't understand, wasn't L2 cache supposed to make memory run faster not slower?

I'm not sure exactly why but overall, you're system speed is probably slower with the cache disabled. Try running 3DMark or Quale3 and I'll bet your benches are much lower.
