i just saw a guy post how to disable SATA well for me its i have a SATA hdd so i was wondernig does the mobo still look for the IDE hdd's and if so how do i disable that?

Under "Integrated Peripherals" section of your BIOS you will find options like: Onboard IDE Channel 0" and "Onboard IDE Channel 1" - just change the status from enbale to disable.

But you'll need IDE for your CD-ROM/DVD-ROM/Writer.

ohh yea but isnt there two slots for ide slots. like i got my cdrom and burner on ony ide cable

Edit: OHH yea this is Asus p4p800 dlx
