Hi All,
I was checking out some P3's for sale on eBay and found a fellow selling P3 1000's, which are presumably brand new OEM units.
The picture was good enough to get the chip particulars, though I doubt you would get the exact chip photographed.

My question is the "SL62R" S-code. I've checked out Intels S-spec code sheet and find no such listing. Are these cCO, cDO stepping?

If you can confirm that they are indeed 1.75v default, then those chips definitely are cD0 steppings, because cC0 1 gig chips were 1.7v default.

Yeah, I think it's one of the new steppings, cD0... the higher voltage gives it away too...

He probably made a mistake as all the cD0 stepping cpus are sl5 something. I would bet its a sl52r.
If you want to compare price on a cD0 vs ebay check here :

nope, there have been early 1Ghz cCO's with default voltages varying from 1.7 upto 1.85 Intel had to pick the best chips at first and use some tricks us OCers know all to well; up the voltage and retail them with a bigger (still crap) HSF! Anything if we can beat AMD, lol!

I double checked the listing, and I believe you are correct! I misread the 5 as a 6. Thanks everyone for your comments! Here is the picture:

Lancelot, are you sure about those voltages? I'd always heard the cC0 stepping 1 gig chips were 1.7v default. Intel only lists that on their spec sheet too. You are right about them picking the cream of the crop in the past for 1 gig chips though. Probably unlikely they are still doing that with the new stepping, but one never knows with Intel.

If that pic is correct, then I'd say it is probably a cD0 stepping. Hopefully it's an actual photo of the chips he's selling. If this is eBay, confirm with the seller beforehand that the default voltage is indeed 1.75v.
