how to lock out hard drives

alright, a friend of mine has two hdd's in this computer, and wants to make it so anyone on the computer (admins or anyone else) has to enter a password in order to access that specific hard drive...

what is the easiest way to do this.
 
Dunno about RangerJoe but I would much rather not user 3rd party software, I've had nightmares with Magic Folders in win98.

Plus it's not so much of a security thing, I actually just want to selectively show a only few folders so my family don't clutter up the drive.
