I wonder how much that PSU weighs. About the same weight as Allied 400W+ PSU's?
According of most of time i ship this pc device. A PS 3 ~ 4lb.. And cheap shipping for 3~ 4lb package @ fedex ground 6 bucks.

Shipping weight isn't a good measure of real weight. I was looking for the weight of my Volcano 5 HSF (out of my old rig) and some sites said 6 lbs shipping weight! I eventually found an HSF roundup that listed the weights and it as only 312 grams (~0.69 lbs).

I contemplate the quality of any manufacturer who makes up their own words. "Extremo" ehh ?
Just so happens I need a cheap power supply and this one will do nicely :)

Anyone know how many amps this guy puts out on +12v??
Very tempting. Also 4 bucks for a 3 year warranty. Does anyone know if the bottom blowhole is availible if you do not choose the dual fan option?

I'm a firm believer in you pay for what you get ;)
If you can't pony up the bucks for a PC Power and Cooling, this should be your second choice ($83 at Newegg and $67 below)

10 page thread (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=26280&perpage=25&highlight=fortron&pagenumber=1) of nothing but praise of this PSU at Xtreme, and I respect the opinions of those guys that purchased this psu and love it.
I totally agree with sammy. "You pay for what you get" That's why i indicate, if you need specific power amp, you better investe more $$$ in.
I'm not a gamer, but my neighbor game 8hrs a day with his 350W generic without a complaint. So, $15 shipped to your door is not bad to try.
I got one because it'd be hard to be worse than the 200W or 250W I have in my gf's junk school computer.

I bought one simply because it was so cheap and eventually a situation will come up where a friend or co-worker will need one.
Never hurts to have a second laying around the house in case of an emergency!

Exactly. I paid 100 bucks for my seasonic 400watt so I can't really afford another expensive "quality" psu.
Mine shipped out 3/2 and it says on the DHL tracking that it should be here 3/4. Not bad at all. 14.99 shipped. Can't beat that I don't think.
hmm, seems risky..did it say frfee shipping? i missedd it then i guess..

It didnt say anything about shipping when I purchased it on the site. It just said total 14.99. I was waiting to see how much they were going to charge for shipping but I guess that was included in that price
For $15, I don't think that you will be getting a decent PSU. But again, it may be that the seller is dumping it and the real value is higher than $15. Anyway, that is too risky for me. I just bought an AeroCool 550W Power Supply (http://iocombo.com/product/showproduct.php?productid=02XV) a few weeks ago. It costs me around $115 shipped, but I know for sure that it will lasts for good.
I don't doubt it will be a cheap psu. I got it to use for a folding computer anyway so if it dies there really isn't much loss.

You could hotwire it and 24v a 120mm fan as a CPU cooler. Think of the temps...
Got the PSU today. There is no way to tell the quality or anything with multi meter right?

how heavy is it? guesstimate if you must:)
EDIT: How many amps does the 12v rail put out, should say on the sticker on the side.

Mine shipped 3/2 and is expected to arrive 3/8. I checked my bank account summary and I was charged just the $14.99, so shipping is included in the price.
Seriously..for 15 bucks shipped can you afford not to buy one? I expect it to be on the same quality level as most generics.

The sticker says:
+3.3V = 28A
+5V = 30A
+12V = *cough* 11A *cough*
I would say it weighs about as much 1 and a half 20oz bottles of water ;)
I have a few cases sitting around and needed a psu to run some kind of junk computer for my gf to get online. This is the only reason I purchased this. It's obviously not great but for $15 shipped it was exactly what I needed.

The FSP/SPI 530W only has a 12V ~ 18A much better than the 11A on this one but I have found it is not enough for loaded higher end systems I just had to switch to the PC Power & Cooling myself.
