FYI, several Abit motherboards have BIOS updates available that offer support for the Coppermine-T. Check it out at www.abit-usa.com.
I haven't been paying attention to the threads dealing with this subject, so forgive me if it's already been metioned.
Thats good info.
Intel dosent call any of thier cpus a coppermine-t.
Intel defines a coppermine as a cpu based on .18 micron technology.
So what is a coppermine-t a cD0 stepping P3?

Tom's hardware lists this CPU as a tataulin (or howevcer you spell it) variant!
Tom is wrong if he calls it a tualatin. Coppermine-T is not a Tualatin. Coppermine-T is suppose to work in tualatin boards, but is actually a copperine and will supposedly also work in some older coppermine boards. The input/output voltages or signal levels are changed for Tualatin. That means it will require new boards and new chipsets or newer revisions of existing chipsets. Coppermine-T will supposedly work with both the GTL+ bus signal levels , which previous PIIIs used and the GTL bus signal levels which the new tualatins will require. So, it will kinda bridge the gap between the older coppermines and the newer Tualatins. It will however be based on the older process used to make coppermines and will actually be a coppermine. So, it may not overclock as well as some have reported the Tualatins will.
