Hey all, I was the guy who was haveing the problem with the 2600+ running at 1.15Ghz a while back.

Well, I got a new motherboard that has some decent overclocking features (MSI KT6V) and I was wondering what FSB/Voltage would be decent and safe for overclocking.

If you need anymore info just say the word, and thanks for any suggestions or advice.

EDIT:
Fuzzy Logic is reporting a temp of 59 C....isn't this a little hot? Everything seems very stable, I've had absolutely no problems so far.

Depends on what memory you have... so...what memory do you have? :) You'll probably get to about 2.4GHz, though, so if you have PC3200 memory, you can do around 200x12 = 2400MHz. I'm not sure how that mobo holds up, however.

Yes, it's 3200, but just for safety's sake, what would you reccommend for 2700?

Also, any suggestions about the voltage? It's curerntly at 1.65

Have you read the stickies yet? Those really helped me to get off the ground. For PC2700? With AMD chips, you have to run a 1:1 CPU:Mem divider... PC2700 at stock is 166FSB, so you'd have to run 166FSBx(multiplier) to get your overclock. 166x11.5=1909MHz is stock. If you can O/C the mem, then you can run a slightly higher FSB. As for voltage, that depends on your CPU temps. You can push higher voltages if you have good cooling... everyone recommends temps less than 50°C, with 40°C and below being ideal. If you're on air, you'd probably get to about Vcore=1.85 @ 45°C full load. Just guessing, though.

I think it might be mis-reporting the CPU temp for some reason. I've got a Cooler Master Aero 7 with some decent thermo-paste running full blast, and at stock it's reporting 59 C.

It seems like it might be 2700 (I've got a pretty bad memory >.<) because putting it at 200 FSB locked up the system.

I have been browsing the AMD FAQ sticky and it's links while posting.
