View Full Version : Is 1.81V high for default?
It's no big deal and may be a good thing after I've burned this new P3 1GHz in, but I noticed (BIOS and Sandra) that this chip's default voltage is 1.81V. Doesn't this seem a bit high? I thought it was supposed to be around 1.75V as this is where my P3 700 was. My Celly 2 600 runs at about 1.64V.
Just curious...
Some motherboards are off on thier voltage.
If you have one of the ones that set it .05v higher than what it says in the bios then your p3 is probably a cD0 stepping cpu with a default voltage of 1.75.

my cco was 1.7 for default but i dont think your going to have to worry about it as these CPU's really need the juice to overclock well.
