does anyone know where i can get a good registry cleaner...( one i dont have to buy or register to use )....that works good with windows XP?.......my system is new and the one i have is called regcleaner and it keeps shutting off on me when i try to use it........thanks people.

I'm running RegScrubXP 3.25. I haven't had any probs with it & it also includes some windows XP tweaks. It's available for free at majorgeeks.com. Good luck!

Not to scare you or anything but i use Regcleaner on peoples systems and the thing is the only time i had it close on me was when the system i was working on had a virus.

I also use regscrupxp 3.25.
PC cleaner is good also.
I keep this pack of utilities to keep any computer running good:
regscrub, pc cleaner, system mechanic 4, adaware, spybot, cwshredder, and hijackthis. They can all be downloaded around the net. They might all be available through majorgeeks even.
You need a virus scanner with updated definitions to go with that.
