Strange.

I re-formatted my computer so I got a new core, .v4.

Read through the log file so i changed forceasm to forceSSE and tried to run it, but it didn't work with "-forcesse -advmethods -verbosity 9", but when i took out -advmethods it was fine, started downloading a Gromacs protein and all is hunky-dory.

Should I just leave it as "-forceSSE -verbosity 9" ? If I get a Tinker core I'll be cheesed off (I'm on a P4).

on my p4 rigs i run .exe -forceasm -forcesse -advmethods -local and have no problems at all.

make sure you are running 2 instances if you have hyperthreading on that p4.

Hmm, maybe I should investigate more.

Unfortunately my P4's just a Northwood single-threader so no -local for me methinks :-/

Thanks Maxvla :)
