View Full Version : Benchmark?
I just finished your benchmark WU and mailed to the address on your website. I notice it hasn't been updated since July '03. Will my result get added?
I want to join the OC team but SETI@HOME won't send me my password.
Thanks guys. L8

You should have some nice performance with that fx-51.
Well, I had an ATHLON 1.1Ghz before I bought this setup after reading the Sharky Extreme Gaming PC guide a few weeks ago.
The 1.1 used to take 8+ hours with the windows graphical client.
I am using the comand line client now and it looks like I might average between 1:40 and 1:45/WU with the FX-51.
BTW: I eventually got the 1.1 OC'd to 1400 and am sure I could have gone more. I did have one bad ass heat sink and fan on it.
Freeking LOUD as hell. Sounded like a jet engine LOL.
I have always left the case side off and my room was constantly hot from that damn thing.
Here is a pic of the old Athlon HS and Fan.
Here is a pic of the new FX-51 :)
BTW, I really need to get rid of these HD's. I want to upgrade to SATA drives. These ribbons are killing my ram. It's pretty hot.
I'd like to get a fan pointed right at them.
Anyone interested?
They are 3 60GIG MAXTOR 7000 RPM drives and one 160 GIG Maxtor 7000 RPM.
Here is a good result :) and while I was using Photoshop, email, and IE.

i didnt think u need a password because whenever i set up SETi on a computer ill i have to do now is enter my email addy
all i had to do is confirm it :p
I need to have my seti@home password to join the OC TEAM.
I don't need it to "use" seti@home, like you said, it only takes an email addy to use it.
My FX51 benched at 1:29 at 2600MHz. That was back in October, but Gary has had some real life matters to attend to and hasn't even posted in the forum since December. I don't know if the benchmark will be updated any time soon.

I get a 1:31 time with my FX51 @ 2.6GHz....albeit running at 200x13. I am sure that can be improved when I get off my lazy ass and try some fsb (HT) clocking :)

Anyone know where Gary is? I've jumped on the mobile Barton bandwagon and got myself the mobile 2500+. I'm anxious to submit a benchmark for it.
I remember TC posting about him in another thread about a week ago, that he was tending to personal things, and hasnt' posted since December. Don't know details though.

Oh ok. TC says that in this thread, several posts up guess I missed it. I guess we won't know when it'll be updated then. Is there a backup person for the benchmarks?
Haha...I knew I read it somewhere!..
*edit*
And I don't think there's a backup person for the benchmarks either.
I'm the backup - if I can get the spreadsheets from Gary. I asked him to email them to me about 3 months ago....
Oh, well personal matters should always come first.
Do you need the spreadsheets? Or can you just take the data from the site as is?
I'll put it into an xls for you if you like, how did gary check for authentisity?

How much are you lookin for for one of the 60 giggers? I need an extra to store windows and prgm files on and keep my data on my 120.

Is there any seti benchmarks. My cpu runs at 200x11, takes about 2:45-3hours to do a work unit. If I was to run my cpu at 250x8.5 and get some ddr500, do you think I can see a inprovement. Anyone know the seti times on xp2500+ m
elec999: I get similar time for my XP1700+@2.3GHz. I have tried some DDR500 (PC4000) memory and frankly it isn't much cop for the athlons, its more of a P4 memory standard, perhaps it might be better accounted for in later chipsets. As for the seti times, are you talking stock? Not that i know them off hand.
