I have a wireless network setup with a d-link DI-514 802.11b router and d-link DWL 520 wireless pci card with my neighbor. The windows needs to be open to actually receive a signal, so I want to boost the signal. I have read several articles about "cantennas" (http://www.turnpoint.net/wireless/has.html) (http://www.oreillynet.com/cs/user/view/wlg/1124)(I was going to make the coffee can one).

Anyway, I need to get the female n chassis mount and the pigtail to connect the router to the cantenna. Does anyone know of any online electronic stores that have these? I have found a couple sites, but I have never heard of them, and wanted to check around before I bought anything.

Thanks

How do you connect the pigtail to the can? I don't get it.

One end connects to the where the antenna would normally connect to the router. The other end connects to the n female chassis mount, which is in the can. A pretty good explanation is on the second link on the original post.
