Ok, I've unlocked everything in the router setup and still, my router blocks anyone from connecting or even seeing my PC from the internet.
I cant host any games online nore transfer files on MSN. And when I do transfer files on MSN, it goes like 1KB/s.
Does anyone know how to unlock my security on my router so that I can actually use my PC for file sharing and hosting games?
EDIT: Its one of those 4-port Linksys routers with the blue cover thingy around it.

You have to forward specific ports to specific inner IP's.
click on the dhcp tab then on the DHCP clients table. That should list the inner IP's.
Then click on advanced >> Forwarding >> then enter the ports and the IP of the right computer. for a range enter the lowest in the first box and the highest in the second box. for a single port put the same port # in both boxes.

one word, port triggers. From the router you described, sounds like the BEFSR41. If port triggers do not work, you may have to place the particular computer into DMZ mode. Set up a port range for incomming traffic to connect to
i.e. 192.168.100.125:8080
This may or may not work, depending on the router. Placing the computer in DMZ will most def. work, however, will leave it exposed to the rest of the world.

I am almost positive the befsr41 has a dmz mode.

Yes, the befsr41 does have a DMZ mode, but I would try to stay away from using it unless it was the last option.
What game are you trying to host? and have you ever read about port forwarding with your router?
The home routers use NAT(network address translation) which in simple terms, takes traffic coming to your public IP address and sends it off to your internal Ip address that it's supposed to be going to. This is fine for traffic that you initiated the connection with, but if someone else is trying to initiate the connection with you, your router doesn't know which ip address to send the information to. You have to tell it which ports to forward to which internal IP address. Also if you're forwarding ports, you need to make sure you have that machine set on a static ip address instead of DCHP. If you want to host something or do some dcc file transfers you have to forward a port(whichever ports the game uses or you assign to your program to use) to your IP address internally from your routers configuration page.

I'd try what Kendan said first.
