I have the same chip, I think even a cBo. I think your in still in safe territory but lower temps would be nicer and allow for a higher OC. I run all the time at 910 and seldom get above 40, only on hot days. You probably wanna shoot for under 40 if possible.

I can't remember, but I think max temp according to Intel is like 55*C or something, maybe 60, I forget...Its on their website. Is the 46*C running stock or overclocked?

If your ambient temps are high at the moment (like 25-30C) and you have a standard Intel HSF on the CPU and none extra casefans, these can even be your 'idle' (just browsing the web, and playing an MP3 and so on) temps indeed. The CPU can take a max. of 70 to 80C but those are extremes! If you plan on overclocking you really need some serious coolingmods. My CPU is 280Mhz overclocked and runs at 1.95V and your current temps are my full load temps!!! Is the thermal pad still on your HSF? Removing the pad and apllying some thermal grease can lower your temps by 5C, and you can probable add an extra (cold air) intake fan somewhere low in (the front of?) your case. But we really need more info to give you advise on your specific setup...

Take a look at my numbers as reported via MBM5. I had Seti@Home going in the background the whole time. Disregard the speed reported. I'm actually running @ 140 fsb which would be 980mhz. Vcore is 1.85. I'm using 4 case fans, all 80mm, and the Alpha P3125 with AS-2 on the ol' slot1. (Whops, gotta update that sig.....)
