i cant be stable in 3d past 780...it boots at 800...however i checked intel.com and found that no processors with my stepping exist past 750...do you think it would be possible to overclock past 800?...im about to get a new heatsink GlobalWin P328H(equivalent to VOSG8H)....and some new 256MB PC133 ram...i should have ideal overclocking env because my mobo can run at 133, and i have 100 fsb cpu..oh well. ill wait till my hsf comes in...
P3 600E
Asus P3V4X
non intel...but still crappy hsf
128 ram
ATI Rage Fury Pro

Hmm, the ca2 wasn't the greatest overclocker, and propably would take more cooling and voltage to get it much higher,I'm surprised the ca2 came out in a 600 I know that the PIII 450 was a ca2, and the max I seen any of those doing was 620mhz. I have a ca2 450 and the best I could get from it was 598.
the yeilds were bouncing all over the place with that stepping, there were really good ones, and there were really bad ones.
The heatsink you are getting should help, but you might have to raise the voltage a little at a time, and watch the temps.
Good luck

well looking at the intel site, the ca2 stepping actually shows up until 750mhz...i just wish i could see how far people have oced it
Just a thought, but what does the cpu database say on the homepage?
cA2's aren't good for o/cing. As stated here they need lot's of voltage and very good cooling. Mine causes crashes at/after 38°C (measured from the edge of the CPU core).
