what voltages do the fan connectors on the motherboard of the a7n8x deluxe put onto the fan? do they give out the full 12 volts? or 7? or 5? or what. if its low, then i might have to unplug them out of the mobo.

The fan connectors are supposed to be 12V, but losses such as the current flowing through an extra connector in the circuit (ATX connector) mean that sometimes the voltage at the headers is a bit less than the supply voltage.

Also if the fan draws more than 350mA the traces on the motherboard may not handle the load adequately and burn out.

Q-fan regulates the fan speed by reducing the voltage to the fans if they are slowing down then make sure it is disabled :)

thanks for the reply. my fans seem to be running at the rated rpm's or a little higher, so im assuming its not negatively affecting performance. ive herd of tornado's killing motherboards tho. wuldnt wanna do that.
