View Full Version : Testing a celeron 900 cDO stepping.
Well all i can say is that most people who buy these new cDO stepping chips will likely hit the 1.2 gig area. This particular chip would post at 1200mhz at default voltage. I only took the voltage to 1.9 volts because my room ambient temp was 87 degrees F. And I really need to lap this hedge hog heat sink. Temps were around 40 degrees C. If I had air conditioning and my alpha pep66 set up I bet it would do much better. I would get to the windows screen and freeze at 1.9v. So from the other people's results and my own I would say most people could be looking at 1200mhz give or take 50.
Well, it looks as if these Cdo steppings are going to be good overclockers from your results...we'll see as more of the o/cers start buying them...

My P3 1GHZ is a cD0, runs at 1125 great at default voltage but GPFs in UT while playing online. Increased from 1.75 to 1.80 V and no problems at 40C under full load, not much heat generated either (though I need to invest in some better cooling than the intel hsf).

Great dude,
You are confirming the OC possibility of this Chip, that I supposed.
I wanna go with it as soon as possible, but I'll wait untill prices get lower to replace my C2 600 cb0.
